NAME: Sam S. Martinez

BIO:Sam Martinez has been kept very busy during the last few months, not only appearing in Plays in Perpetuity's Once Removed, but also Silver House Theatre's Playwright Festival and Urban Theatre Series, the 48-Hour Film Festival, two short films, Houston's Annual 10x10's, and most recently, the world premiere of Ms Fortune Cookie. An actor who doesn't like to be without a role, Sam has consistently been onstage for the last three seasons, including appearances in Theatre Southwest's Odd Couple (female version), Children of a Lesser God, Noises Off, and Daddy's Dying, Who's Got the Will? at Kingwood College, Dionysis Theatre's And They Dance Real Slow in Jackson, the world premiere of Jingle Elf, Secret Agent at Performing Arts Education Centre, Kill the Boss for Mystery Café, Tony Soaprano's Retirement Party, and various play and theatre festivals around town. His other credits include Of Mice and Men, I Hate Hamlet, Cinderella Goes Disco, The Three Bully Goats Griff, Aviation Blond, Philaphobia, Hyronomous A. Frog: The Frog Prince, Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, and In the Company of Strangers. Sam did his training at the American Musical and Dramatic Arts Academy in New York. In addition to acting, Sam has also directed several short plays including Boyfriends and Bracelets.
